	NAFEO is the national umbrella and public policy advocacy organization for 118 of the nation's Historically/predominantly Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Equal Opportunity Educational Institutions (EOEIs). NAFEO member schools enrolled 365,000 students in 1998, approximately 15% of all Black/African American students enrolled in all U.S. colleges and universities and confer 28% of all bachelor’s degrees to Blacks/African Americans. NAFEO institutions include four medical schools, seven law schools, one veterinary school and two dental schools.
