College Savings Plans Network: An affiliate of the National Association of State Treasurers, the network serves as a clearinghouse for information on college savings plans with links to the many state plans available.

GEAR UP Program: A competitive grant program administered by the U.S. Department of Education designed to encourage and prepare disadvantaged young people for college.

Federal Resources for Educational Excellence (FREE): A one-stop web site for teaching and learning resources.

The Gateway to Educational Materials (GEM): a consortium effort to provide educators with quick and easy access to educational materials.

HOPE Scholarships Lifetime Learning Tax Credits, and other tax benefits for postsecondary education: Includes guides, IRS publications, and other valuable information.

College Opportunities On-Line: College Opportunities On-Line (COOL), a Department of Education website data on more than 9,000 postsecondary schools: cost information, degrees awarded, student demographics, and enrollment figures. You can access it by going to www.students.gov page and clicking on COOL.
