EyeMed optometrists and ophthalmologists conduct comprehensive eye examination to diagnose or detect existing conditions of the eye and vision system.

Choice of Frames

Other plans may limit selection to a few choice frames, EyeMed provides members with total flexibility in choosing eyeglass frames that meet their own tastes, needs, and lifestyles. Members may choose from any available at the provider's location including name brand frames by Luxottica such as Vogue®, Brooks Brothers®, Armani®, and more.  

Choice in Lenses 

EyeMed providers recommend whichever lens brands or options they believe offer members the best ocular clarity. They choose fabrication laboratories they trust to provide best quality service and convenience.   Provider Credentialing 

EyeMed's detailed credentialing and contracting process verifies that providers meet or exceed all requirements for panel participation. All providers are subject to a recredentialing process every two years.   

EyeMed's Quality Assurance Program

EyeMed's Quality Assurance Program is administered by an independent Peer Review Panel, consisting of an established group of optometrists, ophthalmologists, and opticians from EyeMed's own provider panel, as well as industry experts.  

EyeMed Plans Generally no claim forms or referrals are required. In addition to the EyeMed Primary Plan all EyeMed Vision Care members are eligible for the laser vision correction benefit.

EyeMed and LCA-Vision have arranged to provide this benefit to all EyeMed Vision Care members through the U.S. Laser Network. Members are entitled to a 15% discount on usual and customary fees for LASIK and PRK procedures, or a 5% discount on any promotional pricing, whichever is the greater benefit.
